Abdullah Al Senussi Appeals ICC Decision and Requests to be Tried at The Hague

On October 17th, 2013, Ben Emmerson QC, defense counsel for Abdullah al Senussi, appealed the International Criminal Court’s decision (See:ICC Pre-Trial Chamber I decides that the Al-Senussi case is to proceed in Libya and is inadmissible before the ICC) and requested that judges order Libya not to initiate trial proceedings until the appeal is settled so that his client is protected from irreparable harm.
